I've had the Chailey 1914-1918 website up and running for about three years now.  It serves the purpose I set it up for, which was to commemorate the men and women of this parish - and those soldiers who were nursed there - during the 1914-1918 war, but I find the web-designing software a little clunky.

I bought the URL, the space and the Sitebuilder software from Fasthosts, one of three sites I have with this company.  I'm wondering though whether there aren't better, and more flexible, options available.  There must be.

I am not a web designer -  and I have to say that I even find Dreamweaver complex - so I need something like Sitebuilder but something that will also give me greater flexibility.  I'm trying to monetise my sites at the moment, so the ability to drop in AdSense adverts and the like - without the restrictions that Sitebuilder imposes - would be useful.

Also - and this again, is a fairly basic question from somebody who has a whole cupboard-full of them - how difficult a process would it be to pick up all the code from Sitebuilder and move the whole thing, lock, stock and barrel, to another provider?  Anyone had this experience with Fasthosts/Sitebuilder before?

Many thanks

Paul
