I don't know how many of y'all were listed in the Microsoft directory but it was a great deal for the $40+ bucks.  I know that their listing helped me with several keywords.  As y'all probably know they stopped accepting new sites into the directory a few months back.  The thing is the directory was support to stay up through mid 2008.  Well I went out there a week or so back and it was down, so I emailed them.  Here is what they had to say.  Note the second paragraph.

Hello gid,

I understand that you are looking for the URL of the Small Business Directory Listing.  As mentioned to you, on May 18th 20067, Submit It! service was decommissioned.  The existing bCentral Small Business Directory has been converted to a read-only online business directory.  Your listing is located at http://sbd.bcentral.com.  From May 18th 2007 through the end of 2008 you will be able to access the directory through this URL.

However, I have received information from our Product Team that the link is inaccessible at this time.  They are currently moving the SBD data and will relaunch the Microsoft Small Business Directory by the end of this month or early July.  Once the directory conversion is complete, the new Microsoft Small Business Directory will be accessible through this URL as well.  You will be presented with a nearly identical look and feel when you visit the new Microsoft Small Business Directory, except the bCentral brand and links for new listing sign-ups will be removed.

If you have any other questions, just let me know.

Sincerely,

Rachelle

Will they also extend your listing since it is down?

Did you ever get your listing detail from MSN??  After people paying for listings, you'd have thought there would be a huge outcry about the lack of service.

That's no better than those dodgy competitions run by some of the UK tv companies, IMHO.

No.  They decided not to put the directory back up.  What they did was issue a partial refund to those who were listed before the directory was closed down.  It really was a poor way to treat the webmasters they were trying to court.
