Hello all,

I have the website www.asrecommended.co.uk and it is an old domain, although went through a complete redesign in Dec 07. Due to the competitive market and a lack of content it is having slow progress, but in MSN it is not even in the listings...does anyone have any ideas?

Best regards,

Misch

Hhhm, havent got a clue to be honest. I just checked my cashcowrecords.co.uk site on MSN and it's number one for its main keyword; which is quite competitive. How it got there i dont know as I have done little to no link or content building on the site for the last year.
So i am even more confused as to how the MSN algo works! The only thing that I can suggest is forum links. The majority of the links to my cashcow site have been forum links and the fact that MSN have ranked the site well suggests that they like them.
Apart from that... submit it?

You have spammed the metatag keyword with 'Insurance' and MSN uses tags. Shocked

lots of our sites tend to perform slightly worse in MSN compared to Google and Yahoo.

they tend to get crawled on a very infrequent basis too..

MSN has a wide array of new and interesting search marketing tools. Their biggest limiting factor with them is that they have limited search market share.

Some of the more interesting tools are

    * Keyword Search Funnel Tool - shows terms that people search for before or after they search for a particular keyword
    * Demographic Prediction Tool - predicts the demographics of searchers by keyword or site visitors by website
    * Online Commercial Intention Detection Tool - estimates the probability of a search query or web page being commercial, informational-transactional, or
    * Search Result Clustering Tool - clusters search results based on related topics

You can view more of their tools under the demo section at Microsoft's Adlab.
