no no no no no no no. lol that would be one way to do things but when i want something that isnt clunky like oscommerce(dont try to defend it, its bloody badly organised and has stagnated somewhat), too simple like opencart(way too underdeveloped to make it worth using at the moment) or copyright like cubecart its difficult to find .  I'd rather throw something together myself that i knew was robust and easy to modify.  Dont worry tho, it'll be something i put together in my downtime when i've done enough jobs to give me a bit of a break to develop some applications.

Try Zencart

Its already nice software, open source, and there is big money in hosting, installation, skinning, and installing mods.

I use zen-cart and am really pleased.  Learning curve can be a little steep, but once you understand the design it is smooth sailing.

Ok well update on my plan.

I need

[a] something that i can turn around quickly to sell, preferably digital as i dont want to incur postage if at all possible, i am considering

Photo manipulation site - local and web advertising promoting cheap photo manipulation

Web Apps - lots of little ones.  Anyone got any ideas for this? I have a couple i will probably do already but i could use more.  Will ponder this one more today as not only do i have to build the apps i need to set up sites for the apps (or set up a site to cover all the apps, probably cheaper and quicker to set up but i was hoping to make use of domain keywords for cheap seo Wink ).

I need to play on my strengths - photoshop, lightwave, coding, problem solving and art.  I couldn't think of anything i could sell or do that would work well in 2 weeks for 3d but my photoshop skills are suitable for photo manipulation, my coding skills and problem solving i could use to build a selection of web apps between now and next week(small, cheap, easy to use and expand, probably all using the same core code).  Finally the last strength on the list - art - well to be honest i'm not convinced art can be sold well but i may go thru a service that puts art on canvas for you.  I've got plenty of art and materials but i'll probably have to bring anything i paint into the computer so i can crank a load off using a print on demand service.  I would go down the road of numbered reproductions but to be honest it'll cost way to much to set up for this project.

Anyway, more to come when i have some products to sell Smiley

actually i cooked a nice spagetti bolognese and we had a bottle of red last night(last meal for the condemned?)  guess who overslept tho.  I'm having a cuppa before i spend today organising the HQ.  If its tidy later i'll do some pictures Smiley.  Then i've got some sites to complete and promote Smiley.  We got a lead on the property site friday so i'm hoping the quick launch of the next site will give me a *lot* more leads.

Great!

And you might check this site out for products.....And if you find one, Ebay is a great place to find a regular or drop ship supplier.

Check the Ebay forums...communities...whatever they call them these days.
