As i understand it the latest version of wordpress has the widgets tool already installed so you dont need to install it. I use 2.2 and it works pretty good.  Having said that i edited my template to get adsense to show up Tongue

Once you get your widgets working - get a text widget put up a title and then  and post links to relevant clickbank products too - won't get you $$ every time someone clicks, but if you pick good products they will pay off.

On my blog I have a widget that says:

GREEN ENERGY
An Engine the Runs On Water
Build Your Own Solar Panel
Make Your Own Cooling  Vest

The Top is just the Title - the three lines under it are all
clickbank links to products.  Anyone visiting my site that is
interested in those things - finds them right in front of their nose to
click.

The latest version (2.3.1) seems to be very buggy.
I did a custom theme for a client on my test blog using 2.2.3 and when I installed it on his site I used 2,3,1 and the widget function disappeared.
Had to do a quick uninstall and reinstall with 2.2.3 to get the widgets function back.
Haven't touched 2.3.1 again and won't till they fix the issues with it.
Also many themes and plugins won't work with 2.3.1 and that's just the start of the problems.
The only way to use it that I have found is to use it on a fresh install and then search, search, search, for compatible themes and plugins.
Way easier to just use 2.2.3 for now.
By the way you can still find all versions of wordpress at

Ok now the funs over, let's get down to business...  you need traffic to your blog if your going to succeed, that being said, start with advertising to other blogs than yours that have better statistical data than what yours does. Pagerank, alexa traffic, blog buzz, etc... these are very important factors when deciding.

Alexa is 'as much use as an ashtray on a motorbike' - Alexa is basically spyware and the traffic it reports on is based entirely on one thing - searches made by people who have their toolbar on their browser.  The pagerank of a blog is also of no use - blogs change daily with input from outside influences including spam posters that need moderating.  Most of the input is based on anchor text of the page which is good for internal pagerank but if you are thinking greenline toolbar pagerank then that is artificial and should be ignored.

Unless I'm looking at the wrong blog, it looks as though this one has foundered.  At least, the last post on http://www.voisd.com/blog/ - if this is the blog, was in September 2007.

That's a shame, becaue the original topic title is one that interests me and I was hoping to hear that sabian1982 had become an internet millioniare and retired to the Caribbean.  Maybe he did... in September 2007.

Sabian are you there?
