I am pleased to announce the launch of the Looks Like phpLD General Directory.

A few bits of information about our new general directory:

1) Our directory runs the phpLD style directory template which mimics the design and layout of the root phpLD website - this template (currently available for phpLD3.2.0 is available for download HERE).

2) As a new and free directory, we will be including only 10 free links per category. Full details can be found on the submission page contained within the guidelines.

3) Make sure you submit to the deepest, most appropriate category as failure to do so with mean rejection and hence you might miss out on one of those 10 free listings.

4) To improve your chances of getting listed in the free general or paid general directory sections having a unique or lesser used template will improve your chances of gaining one of those 10 sort after listings.

5) Descriptions should be between 300 and 600 characters – that’s right, an average websites description isn’t long enough, so get writing!

6) There is no image verification required currently – hopefully by having large description requirements this should cut down on spam.

Obviously if you experience any issues with the site of believe a additional sub category is required or would simply like to comment on the design of the site please post to this thread.

Thanks and happy submitting;

Don’t forget that the Looks Like phpLD skin is available for download for version 3.2.0 of the php link directory script – download link can be found at http://www.lookslikephpld.com/articles/article-1.html

Please be aware that the 10 free spots in the paid general directory section have already been filled.

Yes it does appear that you can not submit from the same site twice. Like you I had thought I could. If it did I had a good write up on the second submit. I used all but 12 spots in the description. I even had to rewrite what I put in cause the first one was to long and cut it off in the middle of a sentence. I just hope I did not mess up the first submit.

I skipped over the above line while reading the rules.  I will resubmit once you reject it.  Sorry about that......
