Hi All,
I am a person who don't believe in exchangin links. I always go with one way links; Takes them from directories, writting and submitting articles, blog posting etc.

But it is the best one to get links from the sites in your niche. I think it the toughest thing in link building to get the one way links from relevant websites.

You have to send lots and lots of emails to the webmasters to place your link to their link pages that has no PR. Just a way to get these links by exchanging them or purchase them.

I don't want to exchange or purchase so how come to get them as a one way link?Huh?Huh???

Thanks in Advance

Perhaps you could entice them by offering a 'free' link on another site of yours, a directory perhaps?

I don't do three-way linking myself but i'm sure alot of newbies may be interested.

Generally, for one way links i think link baiting is the way to go.......

I like and use three way linking for example a common tactic we use is to create a domain and then a second domain both in the same niche, add a directory script to domain 2 only accept niche submissions with reciprocal link to our first domain. Works quite well as long as domain 1 has other inbound links, Google doesn't take kindly if this is the only method you employ and banishes domain 2  to oblivion.

My question is; do the sites in your niche provide you a link back without paying a penny or a link to them?

Well in Tim's example you give a link back from another site.

I don't think you'll attract many 'free' links from people that are approaching you offer a link exchange.

i have to agree people want something in return directories, writting and submitting articles, blog posting etc all benifat the site owner so they are happy for you to put links up but to get one way links with nuthing in return is difficult it is possible under certand circamstances.
where your site would be concidered a resourst to the site and would not take away anny potential busness from the senders site this requiers you doing more work looking through their site and finding why it is good for them and explaining this to them as an offered resource to enhance their custmers experince on their site this is not an easy sell but it is possible.

but if you have online sales your easest bet is to program or install a referal marketing system and pay the refering site a commision on actual sales refered by their site this is a win win situation you only pay when you get a sale so mony is only spent when earned and you can intice many more revlant sites.

also with the amounts of time you are looking at on doing this you can build related topic SEO optmized info sites and soly link to yourself as the perfered choice or something like that if you have a good hosting package you will not pay extra for multipul domains you only need to cover your yearly domain cost and the time to code the sites.

in summation yes it is possible but it usualy requieres a lot more legg work to seel to the webmaster it has to be pitched as a vauable resourse that wont steal busness and will enhance the value of their site through relevant content.
