I've had a look here http://www.google.com/a/help/intl/en/admins/editions.html and all links from this page but yet to find premium alerts. Maybe it's a service for which they're not accepting new customers or they're not advertising the fact?

Well I'll be damned - http://www.googlealert.com/enhance.php?comparison=1&u=ctabuk&c=be2995a&o=a&s=&m=

Now whether your browser will open that or not remains to be seen as it is my account. I think it is a system rented out by Google, paid to Google who then pay the site owners.

You learn something everyday. Indigo Steam Technologies - I'm off to search them and ask a few questionS.

Copyscape © 2008 Indigo Stream Technologies, providers of Google Alert. All rights reserved.

So there you have the answer - Google Alerts are outsourced - but being Google they get paid first Cool Cool Cool

Then the "no way affiliated to Google" is a bit missleading on the site?

Copyscape © 2008 Indigo Stream Technologies, providers of Google Alert. All rights reserved.

Google Alert and Google Alerts are two seperate terms in my eyes.

Something tells me they're an off-shoot type of thing from Google, Google being it's umbrella... All seems a bit odd to me, and a search for copyscape google company brings up a few discussions about the whys and wherefors.

And yes, I can open that page.

>>> edit: I see your point in the above post David.

I've just checked my amex account - I've not been charged for the last 12 months.

Forget that I have - it's quarterly

Merchant's cart ID: Google Alert ctabuk-Premium-3 months

And once more - I appear to have goofed - the cash goes to Stream Technologies - well honesty is the best policy - if you goof - own up - and I goofed.

Still, it's all cleared up and I'm still thinking of signing up for the sake of a pint of stout per month  Smiley

I've got 4 days off starting tomorrow, so once I get my work backlog out the way I'll see about integrating it with a site without upsetting people.
