Need a quick answer here people!

What are the best paid for directories for a client who deals with air conditioning, cooling and heating (the usual stuff that i post about).

Im talking yahoo directory, applegate, yell, kelly search etc. I need to produce a report on the price and effectiveness of these. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Cheer,
matt

There are different views on how good are Directory links - I like www.mygreencorner.com and www.joeant.com

But I think the real secret is localised Directories. I have not taken a look at my links for ages. But I'll go take a peep.

Asking here seems to be worthwhile

I'm thinking more traffic than links. For industrial, business to business type companies directories like applegate can be a huge source of business. The client has the capital to pay for these so I've been told to investigate...

kellysearch , yell.com

Matt, like pest control has said, Kellysearch. I'd been listed with them for ages now - don't get as many enquiries through them as I used to but I think their serps have dropped a bit this year. Still a great place to be listed - For Free.

yell.com? Those that know me know my thoughts about Yell group of companies. I had an extremely bad experience with them to which they weren't interested in sorting out, and they still try and get my business - but not a hope in hell in getting another penny from me. They're great (especially the book) when everything run's fine, but from my experience they're dire if things go wrong or you have an issue.
