Could someone do me a favour and point me at a list of UK counties (one I can copy and paste directly into my application Smiley )
I keep finding list with well other bits like major towns

I just want a list of counties with 1 county per line!

If you know of one let me know

I did it by hand but thanks for the links, though I had found both, but neither provide a nice list without garbage.


I will post up the complete list as CSV for all the other poor souls

I did one of those last year when I was working for a small travel IT company here. I too did it by hand, wrote out the list in a MySQL database for their system. Mine had N. Ireland and Eire counties too. It worked well as I remember.

Problem was I forgot to take a copy with me when we parted company  :x

All BFPO addresses by Location
All British Colonies
Special Post Codes for British Colonies.

Hope you like it, the list has been cleaned up a bit, as I noticed the Association of UK counties seems to be in a time warp, Huntingdonshire hasn't been a county for many years Wink
