Guess what. After running a virus program on my computer and deleting the virus that was on I can always log in to the site the way I have been doing it. I now have to find the stupid password and relog in. Does not always keep my password at hand.

I'm having some odd problems.

My login is not recognized at all on one computer, keeps taking me back to the login in page when trying to login.

I finally sat down at this computer and I was still logged in.

Gonna try logging out on this one and logging in on the one I was having problems on later but I wouldn't think that'd be the issue.

Some one told me tonight that maybe your end is not rebooting or something like that at the end of the day. Darn it is late here and I don't remember what words he used. Any way does this make sense?

I can't access any urls of this site with www. in front!

Perhaps a hosting issue, i'll ask David to contact GlobalHostingGroup

With the admin info we have, can we switch servers ourselves?

A lot of the login issues I have seen before and most of them are caused by some of the newer anti-virus programs etc. They are effectively blocking the sites confirmation that you are who you are.

Try disabling the firewall / anti-virus that you have and see if its any better. I get this problem all the time; even with my own server.

Cheers,

Dave

Thanks Dave but that did'nt help

We can change the hosting if you have control of the domain name (ie to change the nameservers.)

Bit hectic at the moment would need a clear day to implement the changeover if we did decide to go down that route.

Thats three users now in three days who cannot see the site!

I'm still not able to log on before 11am. I get an error 404 page. I think that has something to do with the forum hosting though.

Weird is'nt it i can't access it via www. today, and two users reported problems the last two days. (Of course there could be more but they don't know how to get in touch!

Moving to a hosting company that has support might be a good move

I have a cunning plan Shocked. I'm looking to move all my websites over to godaddy soon as my hosting with 1and1 europe is ridiculously over priced. I could host the forum with my new mega hosting for free. Hopefully that will save all the problems. Only thing is that the domain will have to be signed over to me otherwise I wont be able to move it legally.

aarghh! Godaddy!!!

If they have anything to do with mySQL I would keep well clear of them, they're just far too slow. They're support is pants too. I'm in the process of moving all my sites away from them.

Then you have the US ip address, not so good if you are targetting UK traffic.

Just a few thoughts.
