What about switching theme? May be a bug with the theme... Should load with no cookie shouldn't it..

I don't think so. I hardcoded the theme stylesheet url so it should have worked, but somewhere the script injects the session ID.... Need to find that file (and find the place to edit)

Yes I'm still getting the issues when the browsers are closed, session id's closed, then re-opening browsers to this site. Both FF3 and IE7

Is the stylesheet in the orignal folder as per the basic SMF install? Or has it been moved (because you say you hardcoded the theme stylesheet url)?

Only reason I say this is on the SMF support forums I'd noticed (a month or so ago) something about this (or similar) issue caused by moving the stylesheet... Can't find the thread now though, so I'm as much use as a chocolate tea-pot today  Grin

The stylesheet is still in the default directory, i can't seem to replicate the problem in FF2 or FF3 but occasionally get it in IE6 and IE7....

For me it's not sporadic. I get everytime I visit from a new browser window in IE7 and FF3 using my main PC,,, but don't ever get it in IE7 or FF2 on the laptop... Which is really odd! PC is Vista and Laptop is XP, but I don't think that has anything to do with it.

Weird. As far as i can tell it looks like an issue with the 'pretty urls' mod, if i turn it off i can't replicate the problem at all, can usually get it every time in IE7 if i clear cache / cookies etc
