Mentioned in a different thread after some one mentioned a more social networking, I propose we expand our user profile section, to allow members to develop fuller profiles, these will help with SEO rankings (yes David we know ctabuk blah blah blah Smiley )

But it will also give those who perhaps offer services a chance to have a permanent place to advertise.

Some ideas for expansion

Adding skype and Gtalk to profiles

Maybe link to myspace/linkedin/facebook

Adding options for name

Adding fields to profile is not particularly hard so perhaps a
intro
services offered

Well I don't hve a problem with this idea.

Forum posts if topic related really work

In my Google Alerts this morning

A Challenge - WebProWorld
As a Company we are moving into Shared Ownership Mortgages -they are becoming
big business in the UK -mostly due to soaring house prices. ...

I think this could be a nice draw for members...but a biggers draw for spammers....might disable some of the bigger features for a bit upon registration to discourage such use.

I would like to see like, MySpace, LinkedIn, maybe Squidoo

I saw a forum, not phpBB, with a favorite feed..and it had snips from the last 3 entries.... pretty neat.

I have also seen most recent post dispayed...I emailed the site asked where they got the hack or if they wrote it, no response..and I have not been able to find it....but It is cool because it links a post to a profile in SERPs and backlinks ... in my opinion increases relevancy

Peace
Melanie
