String theories are quite interesting, particularly
when strings are never made of string unless you
play a tea chest base.

They were named 'strings' from the trubadour Blondel - who whilst searching for his master Richard the Lionheart would wander around the castles of europe singing a ballad that he and Richard had written - namely - 'See the stag - what a pretty stag - I'd love to shove the antlers up Prince John's arse' a witty banter between master and minstrel. When Blondel found the Castle Zeeburg in Austria -(Well actually I made the name Zeeburg up - because I cannot be bothered to search it) where Leopold was holding Richard for ransom (That bit's true) he sang the song and Richard lent of his window (I made that bit up as it was actually just an air vent) and sang the rest of the ditty - then Blondel danced for joy and Richard shouted out - 'Be quiet you noisy bastard -or they'll guess you have found me, you always were too highly strung' And from that day forth the gut used in making notes on all wood instruments were called strings.
And if you believe that - then seek medical assistance

That answer will reverb around the Google cosmos.
I have to refain from positive feedback until you
amplify "Castle Zeeburg" at a lower volume.

Yes my apologies there - it's my Mute button - it's got snot in it from a sneeze a month or three back.
I was thinking of feeding Wikipedia with that priceless information. I blame my wit on being the result of a mixed marriage.
Only the milkman had redhair.
Here's a musical question - Had Jimi Hendrix lived and had played guitar with Nik Kershaw - would his smash hit beknown as 'The Jimi Riddle' ?

Identical to one of Saxon's numbers
Amazing one hears when they listen. I was not sure if they had bag pipes in that song. Just sounded like they did. Nice video. Try to do that in the US. I don't think so. Was that in London?

I understand that Bill Gates' Microsoft partner is a major
collecter of Rock memorabilia ... so get a bid in quick Dave
Was that the same guitar which turned up at frank zappa's house in pieces and dweezil renovated and auctioned for charity (and ended up buying it himself)
