It looks the mutts-nuts.

I've become a fan all things Samsung over the last few years.

Samsung Mobile Phones: I won't use anything but Samsung, they seem to have something about the build quality. I'm not into all the posh functions, just a phone that does what it's meant to do. In my line of work, climbing up roofs etc, there have been countless times my phone has ended up being dropped 20 or 30 feet... I doubt most Nokias could cope with that!

Samsung TVs: The quality of the plastics is the first thing I notice. Functions and reliability versus cost, they have to be the best in this area IMO - and I see a lot of TVs. I'd actually buy a Samsung over a Sony or Panasonic, maybe not some of the pioneers if cost wasn't the issue though.

The only bug bear, from looking at the pics, is that it looks like they're using up left over runs of metal from some of the new phones (the red one in the Samsung tech specs).

We have a 36" Flatscreen from Medion (German) and I'll tell what I love about it more than any TV on Earth - Viking were doing a promotion - buy £800 worth of A4 copy paper and get the TV for £160.00.  We had to put the paper in cupboards, in unused bedrooms - but we will never run oit of A4 copy paper - I paid by Amex and got a 10% discount and they never billed me the £160.00 for the TV that was delivered with the paper. Must admit that we have had various Samsung stuff for years.
Generally it has proved to be a triumph of durability and functionality
over style ...which is no bad thing at all Wink

Samsung is a massive manufacturer of all kinds of stuff and now
seem to be introducing a fair amount of style notably in their
consumer electronics without compromising the basics. In fact,
their flat panel screens are used by many other brand names
and manufacturers.

This new X360 notebook has an awful lot going for it from all
viewpoints. A 17" widescreen version would be the dogs danglies  Grin

Nah its not the fact its LCD, there are LCD black screens (i think thats what they're called) and they're the ones that are really shiny. A lot of Sony laptops use them. I prefer the standard non-shiny ones. I meant that the samsung laptop at the beggining of this thread looks like it has a shiny screen.
