Burf Rank 2109   |   Site Cache   |   Ban Site   |   Adult Site   |   Rate Site Rate this site very poorRate this site poorRate this site okRate this site goodRate this site very good

So the higher the number the better? When i searched for my company (obviously!) i came out top for my name (well after all the paid results)

I guess its because i'm so used to aiming for number 1 rankings to see a rank of 2109 is confusing!

What would it cost for my site to have it's own search engine? I use google, msn and pico search now. When I find other search bars that look good I add them to a page or two.

Now of them do what I want it to do. The search my stie but still not the way it should be done.

I'd say it would be best to use a CMS system that has its own search function built in.......I wonder if there is a script that spiders just your own site? and can then act as a site search?

Hello

What do you think I should do about the Burf rank number then?

You can get free scripts like sphider that will spider your site for free (php script)

I am going to write a personel search engine (same as burf) but just for your site, would you beta it for me if I do it?

Its fine once you understand it!

What about adding (if you don't already have it!) a small bit of text next to the burf rank saying (whats this?) and then have a pop up box explaining the higher the rank the better match.

Out of interest what is the highest rank you can get?

I will give it a go on my site. I will pick a page and add it. Let me know when you got something. Thanks. Anything else you might suggest?

Is that a good score?
